Dr. Gerald Patton joined the vascular team in 1996 after retiring from the United States Army where he held the rank of Major when stationed at the Fitzsimons Army Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the University of Miami before completing his general surgery residency at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Patton completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Kansas before joining the U.S. Army Medical Corp.
Throughout his career, Dr. Patton has been the recipient of many awards and has been admitted to several national honor societies. He has lectured extensively on vascular disorders. Most recently in 2017, Dr. Patton was named Top Doctor in vascular surgery in Main Line Today.
Along with Dr. Hayes and Dr. Ryan, Dr. Patton serves the vascular needs of patients at four hospital locations, the Brandywine Hospital, the Bryn Mawr Hospital, where he serves as the Chief of Surgery, the Paoli Hospital and the Chester County Hospital. A skilled vascular and endovascular surgeon, Dr. Patton has a special interest and expertise in arteriography and endovascular surgery and venous
disease.
